San Francisco International Arts Festival at Fort Mason Center Recommended

When: Wed., May 27, Thu., May 28, Fri., May 29 and Sat., May 30 2015
The Festival returns to Fort Mason Center featuring the “Bearing Witness” arts exhibition and 150 dance, music and theatre performances by more than 70 ensembles representing the Bay Area and 16 countries including Teatr ZAR (Poland), Compagnie Artara (Belgium), Áine Ryan and Croi Glan (Ireland), Jesper Arin (Sweden), HORSE Dance (Taiwan), Park Nahoon (Korea), Dengbesz Kazo (Kurdistan), Olga Kosterina (Russia), Mezoamerika (El Salvador) and devorah major (USA). Free buses to Fort Mason Center from BART.

  • Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
