You may know Brockway as the Word Puncher on Cracked.com, but the Portland author spends his offline time writing oddball novels tinged with elements of sci-fi and urban fantasy — including his newest, The Unnoticeables, in which demonic creatures hide within human shells. Local gothic/horror author Loren Rhoads also celebrates the release of The Dangerous Type, the first installment in a new space opera trilogy.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'.
