Brewcade: Adult children of San Francisco, rejoice: The team behind Blackbird has opened a bar in the Castro that pairs 25 craft beer taps with 24 vintage videogames, including Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Frogger, Street Fighter, Donkey Kong, and more. Some snacks and beer- and wine-based cocktails, but no booze. 2200 Market

Hogwash: Another big beer hall comes to Union Square, this one offering 30 brews on tap, a hearty menu of sausages and things, and 55-ounce fishbowls of beer to share with your friends, kinda like those glass boots in German restaurants. Master Cicerone Rich Higgins did the beer list so it's pretty legit. 582 Sutter, 361-5500, hogwashsf.com

Mr. Holmes Bakehouse: Come for the Cruffin, a croissant-muffin hybrid, and California Croissant, stuffed with nori, salmon, ginger, and wasabi; stay for the Tendernob cafe's eminently Instagrammable pink neon sign that reads: "I got baked in San Francisco." 1042 Larkin, mrholmesbakehouse.com

The Progress: The long-anticipated second restaurant from State Bird Provisions chefs/owners Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski has finally arrived. The menu is all family-style meals in various configurations of courses. Good luck getting a reservation (the bar is open for walk-ins). 1525 Fillmore, 673-1294, theprogress-sf.com

Seed + Salt: Vegan and gluten-free cafe in the Marina offers gf baked goods, healthy breakfast options, a wide assortment of salads, and more substantial dishes. 2240 Chestnut, 677-1440, seedandsalt.com

Zoomaak: New Korean wine bar at Fillmore and Geary specializes in sweet rice wine and other, less common alcoholic beverages like the fermented makgollie. Small plates like Korean fried chicken abound. 1552 Fillmore, 441-9299

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
