David Sedaris has done a lot to keep people interested in reading humor and memoir for the better part of two decades. But in order to fill a large venue that’s typically home to something a bit more operatic, he has to be more than a skilled spinner of yarns. Luckily, his experience as a National Public Radio commentator has widened his audience, and made him a trusted voice in a different realm. He handily holds it down in person as well, engaging even those who have never read one of his essays or books.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'.
