Most of us have done the last-minute holiday shopping dance. After spending our day chained to a keyboard, stuffed in a Muni bus, or taking a long, slow drive over a short, fancy bridge, we dash from store to store with enough pirouettes to fill a Nutcracker suite. But Holiday Bazaar NightLife has found a much better way to mix shopping and dancing — it took a craft fair and turned it into a party. The night features a holiday marketplace curated by the folks behind the alternative craft fair Bazaar Bizarre, and electro beats from the glitch-hop group Slayers Club and DJ Mark Farina of Mushroom Jazz fame. There are over 40 local vendors, with an emphasis on handmade and artisanal products to suit kids, adults, pets, and everything in between. No pirouettes required.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
