The Poetry Center's In Common Writers Series presents Feliz Lucia Molina along with the Bay Area's Alli Warren. Feliz' latest chapbook is Crystal Marys. Crystal Marys is a field study of social-media fatigue, suburban youth, Filipino immigrancy, a denim day job in LA's garment district, and other sites of crystallized dis/enchantment. Alli Warren is the author of I Love It Though (Nightboat), which was nominated for the California Book Award. Other recent publications include Little Hill (The Elephants), Moveable C (Push Press), Don’t Go Home With Your Heart On (Faux Press), and Here Come the Warm Jets (City Lights).

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
