The Left-Hand Monkey Wrench Gang was form by Pete Sawyer (Brightshine, Seconds On End) to explore the depth and breadth of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band catalog. Through conversational improvisation and deep listening, the Monkey Wrench Gang lets the music play the band, serving as a channel for the energy inherent in the Grateful Dead experience. The Left-Hand Monkey Wrench Gang is characterized by a communal sharing of vocal and solo spots, enabling the band to bring a wide variety of expression to the most beloved Grateful Dead and JGB tunes.
