Homesick Chicagoans and anyone who appreciates stuffed, deep-dish pizza can get their fix at this local chain. The 30-plus topping options at Patxi's Chicago Pizza include the usual suspects as well as exotica like barbecued chicken, sweet and hot coppa, kalamata olives, and sun-dried tomatoes. There are two varieties of crust (regular and whole wheat) and four kinds of mozzarella (regular, low-fat, soy, and vegan); you can complement your pie with an array of antipasti and salads. The sauce and dough are made daily on the premises of this Noe Valley location, half-baked pies are available for takeout, and you can even get one of those pallid thin-crust New York pizzas if you insist.

  • clipping at Brava Theater Sept. 11
Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
