A liquor license ownership dispute with the A.B.C. - and subsequent eviction/repossession of the venue by police and the landlord - has led to the (perhaps temporary) closure of this club. Keep an eye peeled for future updates.

The Paradise Lounge has been described as "a labyrinth of neon lights, multiple levels, three bars, and two dance floors" - and though the venue isn't as large as that makes it sound, it's not hard for newcomers to get disoriented while wandering between the downstairs main room, the upstairs smoking room, the windowed "Above Paradise" bar, and the windowless DJ room behind that. Located at the happening intersection of Folsom and 11th Streets, this revived nightclub manages to squeeze a lot into its little space.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
