On the Edge Cinema is pleased to present BOUND in a queer context that is reframed by the director’s gender identities. At the time, the Wachowski siblings were male presenting and praised for their depiction of lesbian relationships and sex (though we also have Susie Bright, the San Francisco sex consultant, to thank), but the film’s queer gaze is more apparent than ever post-(public)-transition of the Wachowski sisters.
