ODC Theater, "EarthBodyHOME" is a multi-media dance theater piece. Playing Thursday September 24 through Saturday, September 26th at 8pm. Inspired by Cuban artist Ana Mendieta known for her "Earth Body" works drawing from the goddesses of Afro-Cuban Santeria, Mayan, and Taino mythologies. Bay Area choreographer Amara Tabor-Smith, in collaboration with co-madre/director Dohee Lee, composer Jackeline Rago, video artist Eric Koziol, visual artist Dana Kawano, performers Laura "Larry" Arrington, Zoe Klein, and Xandra Ibarra, present a ritual based performance that weaves together an allegory of exile, disruption, spiritual longing, patriarchy in the art world, and a spirit's return to mother earth.
