Octave One has crafted soul-stirring, booty-shaking techno and supported like-minded artists on its 430 West label for nearly 20 years. In a genre firmly focused on the new, there remains real interest in the back catalog created by brothers Lenny and Lawrence Burden. Singles "I Believe" (1990) and "Blackwater" (2000) dig deep, and are still staples among the faithful in Octave One's native Detroit, but it's overseas audiences who've most embraced the group.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
