A comedian's got to work with what they've got and who they are: It would be no use for Eddie Izzard to try a bro approach, for example. In the same way, Alex Reymundo probably didn't have to think too hard about the name of his Comedy Central special, One Funny Hick-Spanic. Because if you're a funny hick-spanic, what are you going to do, pretend you're someone else? Born in Mexico and having spent a whopping seven years living in Kentucky entitles you to that title, as well as providing you with a lot of things to make jokes about. In Reymundo's case, mostly dirty jokes.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
