Neil Diamond: Show Preview

Before you choose to forgo another Neil Diamond concert because of finances, do remember the legendary hit-maker is now 74 years old. Diamond has almost 40 Top Ten hits and a catalog that spans back to the mid-’60s and still delivers a mighty fine show replete with one of the strongest backing bands on the touring circuit. His last album, Melody Road, came out last year and rocketed to No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard charts in a musical landscape dominated by shitty radio pop, hip-hop, and new country fare. And while his tour is rather brief when compared with touring acts today, rest assured all of his 29 scheduled dates will be of the highest caliber. Sure, he may not fit into some of those ridiculous costumes he wore back in the ’70s, but neither can you. Come ready to sing and clap along to a hit-laden set that is sure to please all.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
