Instead of Orange Friday’s at AT&T Park, it was Black Friday with the SF Giants worshiping the metal gods with the 4th annual Metallica Day. On had was the entire band with James Hetfield and Kirk Hammet performing the National Anthem and Lars Ulrich throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. Fans who purchased the special event tickets took home the commemoration with a Metallica themed desk display . The San Francisco Giants played against the Colorado Rockies for a 4-game home stand ending on Mother’s Day. The Rockies took an early lead with 4 runs in the top of the 2nd with the Giants responding with 3 runs in the latter. The Giants scored the tying and the go-ahead run in the 5th and an insurance run in the 7th to win the game. Madison Bumgarner wins his 4th game of the season.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
