Mazel Top! Matchmaker Matchmaker Recommended

When: Tue., July 7, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $3-$5

Oy Gay

To the question of, "Do you love him?," you might reply, "Do I WHAT?!" Especially after some Pride hookups that value good ol' lust over something you and your Bubbe would actually have a conversation about. Although there are already Jewish Grindr-type apps, some boys in town have the chutzpah to get out there in person and find their bashert at Mazel Top! Matchmaker Matchmaker. So you can kvetch about how hard it is to find a Nice Jewish Mensch (whether you're a Yid or a goy), but today's showrunner, Geoff, will show you how easy it is to play yenta while still enjoying a great night out at one of the hippest joints in town. Worst-case scenario: You dance your tuchus off. Best-case scenario: Your parents are singing "Sunrise, Sunset" beneath the chuppah within the year.

The party starts at 8 p.m. at Oasis, 298 11th St., S.F. $3-$5; sfoasis.com/event.cfm?id=149317.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
