Folklorico Latino de Woodland is a classic community dance group: All the dancers look like they're having fun. At the Cinco de Mayo Commemoration, they're some of the only traditional Mexican dancers performing on Cinco de Mayo proper here in the city; look for swirling skirts and maybe a bit of historical storytelling about the Battle of Puebla. Of course, on the weekend, a huge festival takes over Dolores Park, but tonight, if you're looking for a culturally oriented way to celebrate Mexico fending off the French, (We have nothing against tequila, but there is more to life.) check out these accomplished dancers.
