500 years ago, a monk named Martin Luther changed history. Explore the sacred and secular musical threads used to weave a new musical fabric that lasts to this day. Christ lag in Todesbanden: Praetorius, Hassler, Bach, Purvis Aus tiefer Not: Schein, Bach, Mendelssohn, Reger Ein Feste Burg: Telemann, Praetorius, Bach (Cantata 80) ...music of Bach/Busoni, Brahms, and more. PLUS: a rare opportunity to hear Calvary's magnificent and historic organ. It is the largest church organ in Northern California and among the top 10 largest church organs in the West. Join us for a pre-concert talk and organ demonstration at 3:15pm.
