Artists and scientists should be better friends. These natural enemies have so much to teach one another! Because when they do get together, stuff like this happens: Magnetic Movie. Filmmaking group Semiconductor (scientific name, there, artists) presents a four-minute long looping film about magnets, set at the NASA Space Sciences Laboratory housed at U.C. Berkeley. But it's not your boring BS academic production, it's a gorgeous, colorful, hyperactive, poetic investigation into the invisible force fields of the Earth, the Sun, and Mars.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
