List: How do the homeless cope without McDonald's dollar meals?

Wednesday, Sep 15 2010

The Haight Street branch of McDonald's recently did away with the $1 menu, angering homeless people in the area who relied on the cheap fast food for sustenance. How are they dealing with the situation?

• Drafting document of beefs against McDonald's. God, beef sounds good

• Acting crazier than completely necessary when digging through McDonald's trash cans

• Now asking for more change

• Blocking entrance with human wall. Actually, just sitting there as usual

• Getting stoned before making any rash decisions

• Trying to remember what the "Dollar Menu" was, anyway

• Reading Fast Food Nation ... and licking the descriptions of meat

• Marching on City Hall, any day now

• Solo protest crying on sidewalk

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
