The big draw at Limon Rotisserie is the pollo a la brasa, Peruvian spit-roasted chicken. Whatever chef Martin Castillo's cooks do to the birds -- it's a secret -- they come off the spit with crackly, ruddy skins marked with waves of flame-blackened spice. Whether you order a quarter, half, or whole, the meat comes with a couple of sauces and two sides. Equally good at this Bayview location: the anticuchos, or grilled beef hearts with chimichurri sauce, and the rustic ceviche mixto served with corn and sweet potatoes. It's the rare San Francisco restaurant where you can take a date, have a good meal and a glass of sangria, and only spend $20 a person.
