KNMDK (pronounced knomadik) embodies Detroit: an explosively-charged collective that shatters all music boundaries, melding jazz, groove, funk, hiphop and electronic sounds, rhythms and beats into a rich, inspiring and mind-blowing fusion experience. Their repertoire of originals, classics and standards unfolds in magical and unpredictable ways. KNMDK is led by Oberlin educated De’Sean Jones, a world-renowned musician who has built an international reputation for his powerhouse tenor sax sound and unique approach to modern jazz and electronic music. “I want to make music that is genre bending, soulful and thought provoking,” says Jones. And KNMDK accomplishes that, and a lot more!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
