Kid Cudi: Show Preview

Wednesday, Jun 15 2011

Anyone looking for hip-hop that's free of pretension and strong on honest-to-goodness emotions would be well advised to catch Kid Cudi on his latest tour. This low-key Ohio boy, friend of Kanye West, Grammy nominee, and hipster-rock crossover star has a unique voice, as evidenced on 2009's Man on the Moon: The End of Day and 2010's even more eclectic Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. He's raw, honest, and supremely talented, so you'd be well advised not to miss him when he performs with Chip Tha Ripper.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
