Kendrick Lamar

Snoop and Dre's Protégé

Wednesday, Mar 21 2012
Less than a year ago, 24-year-old Kendrick Lamar of Compton was figuratively passed the torch of West Coast rap by none other than Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, two icons who have rarely shared a stage together over the past decade. With help from Interscope Records and Dre's Aftermath Entertainment, Lamar is expected to release a follow-up to last year's acclaimed project Section.80, to be called Good Kid in a Mad City, later this year.
