Honey Soundsystem: Pride Party Preview

Honey Soundsystem is officially a thing. Eight years on, the four-man crew is now a global force, taking its sound and vibe on the road to clubs around the world. If you've been to any of its parties, you'll know why the group has made it internationally — the members are all phenomenal DJs with their own unique styles between them. More than just that, its parties feel like celebratory, revelatory spaces, which is why Pride Sunday is something akin to Honey's homecoming; on this night it celebrates everything it stands for: men, music, and merriment, featuring special guests DJ Minx from Detroit and Mystic Bill from D.C., both talented selectors in their own right.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
