If you have an inner (or outer) gay man, you may think this is funny: A YouTube commenter says of "Gay Argentinean Tango Augusto and Miguel," an adorable clip of two guys going at it, not unskillfully, "espero que Dios los perdone, no por lo gay sino por la mierda de tango que bailan." ("I hope God forgives them, not for being gay, but for the shitty tango they're dancing.") The International QueerTango Festival is far more nurturing to dancers, and features a slate of events to delight queer enthusiasts of the world's sexiest dance: a play about people who tango too much, called Tango House, milonga dance parties, a tango documentary, tango classes, an academic talk about queer tango (gender role mayhem!), and more milongas. And, we hope, a hive of beeotchy boys who either talk shit all over your style if you're a beginner or try to kill you with their eyes if you're better than they are.
