Help is on the Way XXI: Hollywood Glam Recommended

Back for its 21st year, Help is on the Way XXI: Hollywood Glam benefit concert and gala boasts its usual bevy of stars from TV, film, Broadway and beyond. This always-entertaining evening of music and dance is set to feature Tony winner John Lloyd Young (Jersey Boys), American Idol stars Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages) and Kimberley Locke, singer-actors Loretta Devine, Carole Cook, Jai Rodriguez and Susan Anton, world champion salsa dancers Salsamania and many more. Taking the stage at the Palace of Fine Arts, Help is on the Way 2015 benefits the testing and treatment services of San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Meals On Wheels of San Francisco. In addition to the all-star performance, the evening consists of a pre-show gala reception and silent auction featuring delectable appetizers from many top SF restaurants, wine tastings and special spirit bars. An after party continues after the show in Club REAF back in the lobby of the theater with star DJs spinning great music, dancing and plentiful cocktails.     Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
