A long time ago, like nearly five years ago, a Mission District bar changed hands. It was crammed with crap at the time, and the new owners threw out most of the crap, which was probably a good idea. They hauled in new crap that they liked better, and all was well. One piece of crap, though, made it from one dive-bar identity to the next unscathed: A wonderful old Bingo board; wall-mounted, unreliable, and ever-popular. "Play for drinx, dignity, and dorky prizes," say the new owners, who aren't new anymore; tonight, the game is called "Bingocornucopia" (it happens every Thursday under the name Bingotopia), the caller is Yule Be Sorry, and the tender 'tender is Johnny Boss. Big secret: Bingo is genuinely, weirdly fun, and is the perfect après-feast holiday dénouement.
