Phone: 415-383-9600

Bay Area author Roger Silver speaks with Joel Selvin, author and former pop music critic for the SF Chronicle about his newest book, Going Sane in San Francisco. The book is a compelling and insightful expose about two brothers from a San Francisco entertainment family. One brother, Steve Silver, a gay man who marries a woman months before dying of AIDS to bury the truth about his sexuality – becomes fabulously wealthy by creating Beach Blanket Babylon. His brother Roger, who grew up despised by their social-climbing mother, is eventually disowned by his brother.
