It’s a sad state of affairs when you have to rely on performance poets instead of the health care industry. Sort of. Obviously, it’s much more poetical. But the Monica Storss Benefit Show and Silent Auction is a benefit for a local lady who’s got a big bad disease -- very big, very bad, and very expensive -- and no insurance. And who’s going to do something about it? Blue fuckin’ Shield ain’t doing a damn thing. Instead, it’s poets Ginger Murray, Amy Cruz, Pam Benjamin, Dan Lichtenberg, Jonathan Seigel, Tess Patalano, and MG Martin, and the Two Timing Hussies on music. And you, who may once have thought that art was frivolous.
