We love grandmas. Also, we think Bob Barker jokes are the shiznit. So when Dan Gabriel tells the story of taking his 91-year-old grandma ("little, Filipino, beautiful") to a taping of The Price Is Right, we're happy already. "I'm in the grandson Hall of Fame now," he brags. "I can do no wrong. I could kill one of my cousins." You can see where he's going with this, right? "Normally, she can hardly get up. But when she saw Bob Barker, she lost her mind. She went all Grandmas Gone Wild." And, yep, the pantomimed shirt lifting. Tonight, Gabriel records a live CD.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
