A dozen creative bartenders armed with elephant guns full of bourbon run riot through bushels of the sweetest and most piquant fruits of early winter; you drink the aftermath. The average kitchen jock may not know what to do with kumquats, but these mixologists know, show, and tell about 'quats, pomegranates, tangerines, dates, and more. (Can persimmons be validated? This would be the place to find out.) It's hard to overstate how serious the bartenders are: They work at shacks like Jardinière, Bourbon and Branch, and the Seasons Bar. Snacky treats go with your pair of drinks, exotic liquor vendors ply you with samples, and voting for your favorite drink nets you the chance to win delicious prizes. Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
