From Stitching to Vintage Paintings

A group exhibit that includes 15 different artists “TEXT,” presents pieces ranging from color prints to hand-work . Lisa Mendelson, largely known for her ability to use stitching for her artwork exhibits alone with everybody, a Bukowski poem that is hand-sewn into silk. Catherine Haley Epstein's Serendipitous Tears, a painting on vintage paper, is present alongside Scott Macleod's Dis-titling, a color print that focuses on a man crouching with his work shovel. The art work varies in medium, style, and all in all is eclectic. Other artists include Jeanne Lorenz, Cori Crowley, Jeff Tidwell, Rachel Corry, Mike Shriver, Matt Cella, Bery Bergen, Damien Lucas, Sharon Wickham, Jakub Calouseque, Nicolas Torres, Lani Asher, and Scott Macleod.
Mondays-Thursdays, 10 a.m. Starts: March 14. Continues through April 5, 2011

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
