Friendliest Record Store To Sell CDs To

69 Powell St., 415-834-0267
If you’re in the process of unloading years and years of shiny plastic in jewel cases, take heed: The happiest place to do it is the Union Square Rasputin. Sure, you may be more inclined to shop in the bountiful bowling alley expanse of Amoeba, but Rasputin has something just as appealing: nice humans buying your CDs and DVDs. Selling at Amoeba can be a gut-wrenching, passive-aggressive, disappointing, nightmare. By contrast, at Rasputin, the people sorting through your items will cheerfully chat about music with you while they work. Sometimes they even grab something from your pile and shout “Awesome!” We know which one we enjoy more.
