"The Man with the Flower in His Mouth," a one-act play by Luigi Pirandello, explores the relationship to death taken by two characters who happen to meet in a bar late at night. One character reflects Everyman caught up in life's merry denials and predictable values. The other character, with reason, takes a different perspective. Written in 1922, Pirandello’s drama was chosen by the British Broadcasting Corporation in 1930 to serve as a test demonstration of the new, experimental medium of television. Saturday’s performance, by actors John Baron and Joe Paulino, will recreate aspects of the play’s original production.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
