The Private Prison Question.” Joining us will be Shane Bauer, senior reporter at Mother Jones and co-author of A Silver Light, and Alysia Santo, staff reporter at the Marshall Project, who will offer their takes on the state of the American criminal justice system and for-profit prisons. Shane Bauer is senior reporter at Mother Jones, who recently worked for a private prison in Louisiana and published his experiences in an award-winning piece “My Four Months as a Private Prison Guard.” As an award-winning journalist, Bauer has shed light on harrowing stories of surivial.
