Fall Out Boy: Show Preview

Thursday, Jun 13 2013

Fall Out Boy's return to music after a nearly four-year hiatus has been triumphant, thanks to a blinding No. 1 album, Save Rock and Roll, and a fantastically anthemic come-back single, "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark." This has all been such a glorious and unexpected return to form, it's almost enough to help us forget about Pete Wentz's awful Best Ink TV show. The Chicago quartet heads back to the Bay this week with a new-found drive and an exuberance that's been winning them rave reviews on this tour so far. It'd be a stretch to say that Fall Out Boy is actually saving rock 'n' roll — but the band is certainly putting the fun back into it.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
