If synths were straight razors, then London's shadowy Fake Blood would be the blogosphere's Jack the Ripper, driven toward riff-fueled rampages. His weapons are serrated, even if his cut-up production is surgically exact. Fake Blood was a big Beat producer fond of funk samples in the late '90s, but he now looks to 1992 for anthemic inspiration, mixing breakbeat 'ardkore's rough 'n' tumble loops with tech house precision. Fake Blood tears up the clubs, splattering crowds with chipmunk chords, climax-embossing drums, and air raid bass.
