Fack? Feck? Fick? Fock?

Wednesday, Mar 17 2010
You don't go to "literary readings." You're afraid they might suck. We have four words and an exclamation point for you: GROW THE F*CK UP! This excellent and very San Francisco evening does not feature all the city's best readers, but all the readers are the city's best: Kim Addonizio, Tony DuShane, Beth Lisick, Bucky Sinister, and Michelle Tea read new work tonight, along with the event's tireless organizer dudes, Alan Black and Jack Boulware. The totaled accomplishments of this group could choke a herd of shock jocks, but you don't care about that, do you? Publications? Literary Death Matches survived? Sensations created? Stage shows dreamed up and made into international realities? No, you just want to know whether it'll be funny and smart — and it will, as sure as Glenn Beck lives.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
