Secret San Francisco: Adventures in History is a program of archival local news footage, newsreels, and other short film clips featuring old San Francisco. The footage is being presented by the Western Neighborhoods Project, the outfit that also produces the SF West History Minute, an online video series that explores west San Francisco neighborhoods. The event's hosts, Katherine Petrin, David Gallagher, and Woody LaBounty, will be there to contribute their own historical anecdotes along with the videos, an amusing side note or interesting tidbit about different types of fire hydrants, say. The evening may be full of surprises. But it's always interesting and enlightening to learn a little bit more of the history of the places we inhabit.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
