Etienne de Crécy became a leading DJ and producer on the French house/electro/techno circuit back when the robots of Daft Punk were still in diapers. He has built an extensive discography under several aliases, most notably Motorbass and Super Discount. He maintains a fascination with those ravey analog sounds of the '90s, though his newer work, such as the Millie Jackson–sampling "Am I Wrong," proves that he uses those influences responsibly and subtly.
