As founder of Diva Hair, he has been wig-stylist to the stars of San Francisco drag-dom — Peaches Christ and Heklina are among his clients. He has also been volunteering with Wigs for Kids since 2004, visiting hospitals to fit young patients in need for wigs of human hair, and putting on benefits like this one. Dreaming of a Wig X-Mas offers on-stage styling demonstrations, over-the-top mixology lessons, a Tonsorial Fashion Show — that is, “of or relating to the work of a barber” — some holiday hilarity by Mutha Chucka, and (last but not least) naughty mischief by the well-oiled Diva Hair Dudes. We can’t guarantee he’ll be naked but, as documented in the pages of Bucknaked Downtown and other coffee-table books, Hightower is known for being one city’s more visible exhibitionists.
