Mark Paron and Allison Paschke both make smallish, self-contained objets d'art, but as the name of their dual exhbition indicates, that's where the similarities end. At "Soft and Hard," the two artists show her squared-off, sometimes sharp-edged, ceramic or epoxy resin thingamajigs, and his scrunched-up, flexible, roundish whatchamacallits. All are fine to look upon, and share a sort of possible fairy tale gnome-home potential. But still: round v. square. Traditional masculine qualities v. those associated with the weaker sex. Plink plink v. prrrr. Corners v. ... you get the idea.
