Don't Panic

Wednesday, Mar 23 2011
Richard Esguerra and Rainey Reitman are real-life versions of the resistance fighters in The Matrix. We can't vouch for their ability to wear really tight leather or dodge bullets with their minds, but they are very, very literally fighting to save reality, humanity, and the separation of your brain from The Man's machine. At Government Surviellance in a Digital World: An Evening with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the duo talk about their work at the EFF, specifically what the government can surveil, legally, and what you can do to protect yourself, legally. So to paraphrase Lawrence Fishburne talking to Keanu Reeves' spinal cord, it “may feel ... a little strange” to think about the vulnerability of your tweets, but do it anyway, coppertop.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
