The Caravan: Voices from the fishing villages of Peru, a documentary screening and exhibition about life along the coast of Northern Peru, opens at MCCLA on May 25th- June 3rd with a reception and screening on May 27th. In October of 2015, small team known as DOCUPERU set out to collect stories told by and for the residents of coastal Peru. From this series of free workshops in audiovisual communication, spanning the towns of Lobitos, La Islilla, Sechura, Santa Rosa, and San José, 15 short documentaries, 30+ photographic essays, 1 zine, and 4 murals were produced.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
