Comic Amy Schumer returns to San Francisco this weekend to work the crowds at the Castro Theatre with her sweet smile and her dark, dark humor. The creator of Comedy Central's new sketch-and-standup series Inside Amy Schumer is on all the current comedy hot lists for her matter-of-fact, spot-on, and very funny take on sex, relationships, and being a woman that exists in the world. After gaining notoriety in 2011 as a raunchy roaster of both Charlie Sheen and Roseanne, she released her standup special Mostly Sex Stuff, which was filmed at The Fillmore. She's got a cute-girl-saying-naughty-stuff thing going on, a la Sarah Silverman, and she's not afraid to share her own personal experiences for the sake of conveying the absurdity of it all.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
