“City Lights,” a Dennis Ziemienski Exhibition at Arte Verissima

When: April 22-May 29, 12-6 p.m. 2016
Price: Free
Chronicling the iconic signage of local institutions, Dennis Ziemienski explores the vernacular character and fading grandeur of the historical businesses that populate our urban spaces. His lovingly detailed paintings of illuminated neon and glass highlight the fragility of our connection to the past. This show is a collection of images from Oakland, Berkeley, Crockett, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
