The story of how 3Com Park got its name has been told, but few know -- and fewer care -- how 3Com got its name. Writing in Infoworld, 3Com founder Bob Metcalfe explains that the moniker was the networking company's way of quantifying "the value of computer communication compatibility." ... At a screening of Dead Presidents last week at the Royal Theater, the largely African-American audience cheered as the main protagonist grabbed his wife by the neck and threw her against the wall. "Do an O.J.!" and "O.J. her, man!" cried out the moviegoers to the laughter of the crowd. "O.J. the bitch!" said another.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage.
