Despite the illuminated sign outside that says "Jack's Cable Car Bar," there is no proprietor named Jack to be found at California Dream'n - this recently upgraded-and-redecorated bar has undergone several ownership changes over the years. Nowadays it features blocky, angular, and arched red support beams and large black-and-white checkered floor tiles, with pool players clacking away in the back while seated customers chat underneath local artists' latest works. The front section also features a few black leather sofas so soft that you just might sink in and not be able to get out - so you should probably bring a few extra greenbacks if you intend to settle in for a while.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
