Buzzcocks: Show Preview

Wednesday, Apr 18 2012

If you've seen the 2002 movie 24 Hour Party People, you probably recall the scene in which the Sex Pistols play a little hall in Manchester, England, in 1976, and pretty much everyone who was there went on to play an important role in alternative music. Well, the people who put on that real-life show in the first place were members of Buzzcocks. They were ahead of their time then, the band remains influential now, and Buzzcocks' songs — including "Orgasm Addict," "What Do I Get?" and, of course, "Ever Fallen in Love (with Someone You Shouldn't've)" — are so timeless, they'll likely sound as good now as they did in 1978.
